NEWCOMER AT OPUS SCIENTIFIC RECEIVES PRESTIGIOUS
BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING AWARD
Melville, NY November 7, 2007 – Chris Berglind, the newest staff member at Opus Scientific, recently took a few days off to travel to Los Angeles to receive the Biomedical Engineering Society’s (BMES) 2007 Undergraduate Student Design and Research Award.
Chris’s winning project was entitled “The Design of a Thermal Sweating Manikin to Evaluate the Comfort of Prostheses” and was sponsored by Shriners Hospitals for Children in Springfield, MA. The project earned him this recognition awarded to only 6 individuals nationwide. Chris is putting his talent to work at Opus Scientific in the role of Scientific Researcher where he is helping the Long Island bioscience workforce find new career opportunities.
